Before the words "mine, steal, grab" in online thrift shops dominated our Instagram feeds, the numbers "20, 50, 100" written on folders covered in plastic covers were the classic Filipino ukay scene. This ongoing project, which started from this Emerging Islands Plastic Passages workshop and residency, hopes to subvert imagery on fashion, while exploring the textile, colors, and patterns that weave our stories together-beginning from the waste or used clothes dumped in our island country.
